Carhartt
Carhartt is a 120-year-old American company focused on streetwear style clothing. The brand's clothing is distinguished by excellent quality, durability, practicality and simplicity, which earned high praise from the people of the working class. How did the brand's popularity begin?
The history of the Carhartt brand begins at the end of the 19th century. Hamilton Carhartt founded his own brand in 1889 in Detroit, Michigan (USA). His fascination with clothes manifested itself at the age of 12, when the guy dropped out of school to become an assistant in a shop at a factory. They produced clothing for workers. He soon became a traveling salesman. In his constant business trips, Hamilton communicated with the people, got to know the tastes of people better than they were guided when choosing wardrobe items. And he decided to try to open his own production. Then the man quit his job, rented an attic, bought a couple of sewing machines, and hired several workers.
