The Misty Mountain Tempest 3-in-1 jacket offers warmth, but there are notable design flaws. The chest pockets are placed too high, making them awkward to use. The hood buttons attach to the sides of the jacket instead of securing across the face, leaving the wearer exposed to cold wind—undermining its functionality for winter. Additionally, the large pocket zippers feel scratchy on the hands, reducing overall comfort. I would have returned the coat given these shortcomings, but due to the jacket being delivered on December 23 after being ordered on December 7, this exceeds the limited 14-day return window offered by Winnipeg Outfitters. As a result, I’m stuck with a coat I’ll never wear while I continue to rely on my 11-year-old London Fog jacket, which has a hood that closes snugly against winter winds and chest pockets that don’t require arm contortions to access. I purchased this London Fog jacket in December 2013 from The Bay, but unfortunately, The Bay no longer carries London Fog jackets. London Fog jackets also don’t seem to be available anywhere in Canada, nor does the London Fog website in the U.S. ship to Canada. However, I did find a seller on Amazon Canada offering the current version of the London Fog winter jacket, and I await delivery between January 10 and 16.
